Amie N. Beckwith
Born with my Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Saturn in Cancer (ruled by the Moon, representing the Unconscious, emotions, or intuition), in my 1st House—making my Ascendant also Cancer—I’ve always had a sense of workings that lie below the surface. Interpreting dreams for others and myself since my teen years, I felt drawn to pay close attention to the patterns and synchronicities in both Nature and human nature. Initiating my study of Tarot in 2009 felt like an organic evolution of this process. Helping others sift through archetypes, symbols, and signs via the cards is a fascinating undertaking of which I never tire.
After returning to school in my mid-thirties, I graduated from East West College of the Healing Arts in 2010, then immediately embarked on an exploration of the alchemy of bodywork. In addition to this nationally accredited schooling, mentoring with amazing teachers, and over 15 years of practice, I have a vast interest in the psychology of the body. Over time, I have developed my own style of massage built on a foundation of myofascial release, deep tissue, and craniosacral therapy, while taking cues from Traditional Chinese Medicine, other elemental theories, and my many anatomy and physiology obsessions. I deeply believe in bodywork and love watching the many benefits it brings to clients.
